One of the many reasons why I love my Old Fourth Ward neighborhood in Atlanta is because of the amazing BeltLine trail, which I regularly run or walk. And now through Nov. 15 there is an added bonus: a little art.
So, what is the BeltLine, you ask? It’s this awesom redevelopment project along a historic railroad corridor that offers a way to run/walk/bike around the city without having to deal with that nasty Atlanta traffic.
This year’s Art on the Atlanta Beltline event kicked off in early September with the annual BeltLine Lantern Parade. It has featured more than 100 installations and three performance weekends, making it one of the largest temporary art exhibitions in the City of Atlanta.
I’ve enjoyed the “fit” of fitness and art over the past several weeks, and I hope you’ll make a visit to my neighborhood in the next few weeks to do the same.
