There’s nothing like a treadmill with a view — especially of the San Diego Bay.
Now, I have to admit that on my recent business trip to the California city, I took advantage of the fabulous waterside running/walking path for many of my workouts. But the Hyatt Stay Fit Gym at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego was too good not to go inside (at least for a little bit of my workout).
Folks, it was probably one of the most impressive hotel gyms I’ve seen, being right up there with the one at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.
There were free weights, weight machines, BOSUs (one of my personal favs), a full set of kettle bells and medicine balls, a selection of every piece of cardio equipment you could want — all overlooking the water. The gym is complimentary to all hotel guests and is open 24 hours a day. Oh, and did I mention that there were also detailed running and walking maps available?
Also, there is a full spa (which I didn’t have time to check out — something for next time!), pools, and tennis courts. What else could someone looking to have a fit and well getaway or business trip want? Fit.
