“Ahhhhhhh” — that’s the sound that immediately flowed from my lips as I sat in the massage chair in the living room of my spa suite at Loews Atlanta Hotel.
I have to tell you that I think the concept of the spa suite is genius. I mean, who doesn’t like suites and spas — and who wouldn't want the two combined? And when the Loews offered to host me for a visit for a piece I’m working on for the Points North website, I jumped at the chance. Basically, the Loews has taken a beautiful one-bedroom suite overlooking Peachtree Street and designed it to be as spa-centered as possible.
So, what the heck does that mean, you ask? Well, in addition to the cozy sitting area, amazing views, flat screen TVs, and comfy bed there are fresh flowers, candles and rose-colored lighting, the reclining full-body massage chair I mentioned, a bubbling water feature, and an oversized soaking tub. It was the perfect spot to relax in between visits to the hotel’s Exhale Spa for a Core Fusion Barre class (love this format — if you haven’t tried it, you must!) and an Exhale Fusion Massage (which was also exquisite).
After one night of ah-inducing sleep, I was reluctant to return to my real life. Fit, folks.
