A Well Stay Done the Westin Buckhead Atlanta Way
From the Run Westin and New Balance Gear Lending programs to a spacious fitness studio with all of the sweet equipment you need for a calorie-scorching workout, the Westin Buckhead Atlanta has you covered.
I recently had a chance to do an overnight visit to the sleep spot, which is just down the road from where I live in Midtown (BTW, I was graciously hosted by the hotel).
First off, I’m always a fan of Westin’s signature Heavenly Beds (so cozy!), so I was super excited about the cloud of a bed awaiting me in my room. Also, I had a beautiful view of Buckhead at night (which also provided an amazing view of the sunset the next morning).
Now, I’ll admit that part of the stay was about indulging in some yummies and champagne that had been arranged for myself and a few other writers visiting that evening (shout out to Peachtree Roadies — love that blog!!). But all of that could be quickly remedied by the fitness options that the Westin offers.
For example, when I woke up the next morning, it was tough to pull myself out of that comfy bed, but I gave the Run Westin program at the hotel a go. The hotel has mapped out both a three- and six-mile route through the neighborhood that I found pretty easy to follow.
And if I'd had time, I would have made a visit to the hotel's fitness studio, which is open 24 hours a day and includes an indoor pool for lap swimmers. You can rest assured that you’ll find all of the cardio equipment your little heart desires along with yoga matts, medicine balls, and free weights.
Oh, and if you happen to forget your workout gear, no worries. For $5 you can borrow some nifty New Balance shoes and clothing to ensure that you can still get your workout on while away from home. (And BTW, shoes come with brand new socks and everything is fresh and clean.)
I left my one-night stay feeling rested, recharged, and ready to take on the real world again. The bottom line is that if you’re looking for a fit and well spot to stay during a visit to Atlanta, give the Westin Buckhead Atlanta a go. It’s another FWABulous “fit!”
