The “ah-ha” moment happened one day while Amelia was thumbing through a copy of YM Magazine — anyone else a former fan of the now defunct magazine for teens? She saw an ad for summer interns and thought, “Hey, I like to write, maybe that’s what I should do for a living…”
Since graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in journalism, Amelia has had the opportunity to write and/or edit at newspapers, trade publications, and lifestyle magazines. Currently, she oversees communications for Graduate Education and Faculty Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
When Amelia is not at Georgia Tech, she moonlights as a freelance writer and editor and has written for publications, websites, and blogs including Fitness Magazine, The Atlantan, Modern Luxury's JEZEBEL and Brides Atlanta, ShermansTravel.com, Simply Buckhead, 17th South, StyleBlueprint, Best Self Atlanta, Points North, Urban Lux, American Fitness Magazine, The Thirty-A Review, and The Piedmont Review.
