Treat Yourself to a 10 Pack this Holiday Season

Nothing is worse than getting stuck in a fitness class rut, especially when you need all the motivation you can get to drag yourself to the gym during this season of excess and excuses.

Now I know that there are people who find comfort in doing the same workout week in and week out, but I am not one of them. Sure I have my favorite class formats — yoga, spin and the formats that I teach at World Gym Smyrna, to name a few — but I’m always looking for a new class that will challenge my mind and body.

So when I learned about the 10 Pack card that allows Atlantans to pick and choose a mix of 10 fitness classes at various boutique gyms, I loved the idea.

Cara Weaver, a self-described “fitness concierge,” is the brains behind this business. She is a certified Pilates instructor, with experience in fitness club management, who currently teaches both Flywheel and FlyBarre classes at Flywheel Atlanta in Buckhead. (For more about Cara’s Flywheel class, check out this blog I wrote about my experience.)

Cara created 10 Pack to help people discover fitness environments that are fun and a good fit for the individual — which she thinks (and I would agree) is key to finding workout success. The gyms that are a part of the 10 Pack family include boutique studios that offer yoga, kickboxing, Pilates, conditioning, cycling, TRX and other formats. (The photo above is from a BLAST900 class.)

The majority of gyms are located in the Buckhead area, but Cara intends to partner with more studios in areas such as Midtown and North Atlanta in the future. All of the studios have received Cara’s stamp of approval, so you can rest assured that the facility and training techniques will be first-rate. In addition to the peace of mind you get from knowing that a fitness professional has vetted each facility, Cara is also available to help you create a 10 Pack of classes to suit your individual fitness goals.

Whether you are a bride-to-be looking to shed a few pounds before the big day, you have a knee injury that limits the activities you can participate in, or you're new to Atlanta and want to meet fitness-minded people, Cara is there to help you create the right mix.

And the best part? You actually save money when you purchase classes this way. At most studios, you can buy classes individually or buy a 10 pack of 10 classes (you pay a discounted per-class price, since you’re buying in bulk). Cara’s 10 Pack allows you to get the discounted per-class rate and take classes from a variety of studios. Talk about a win-win situation for someone looking to avoid a fitness rut — and a “fit” for this fit and well belle!
