Enjoying a Little R&R Dallas Style at the Hilton Anatole

There's nothing like an impromptu massage and champagne to brighten up a trip to Dallas — especially when it's a visit to the V Spa at the Hilton Anatole

Last month, I was in the Texas hot spot and got a last-minute invite to try out a good old Swedish massage at this Hilton property. (So, yes, y'all my service was on the house.) After enjoying a yummy salmon and kale salad at the property's Media Grill + Bar, I headed over to the V Spa for my early afternoon appointment.

After donning my spa robe and slippers, I went to sit in the relaxation room, which had the best natural light — and I loved the sparkling water and other refreshments! I was promptly picked up for my massage and was escorted to the treatment room by my esthetician. (And if a massage isn't for you, the spa also offers a variety of treatment options ranging from mani/pedis to a sweet maple body wrap.)

My time with her was heavenly and wrapped up with a brief, but amazing, scalp massage. Also, the therapist was wonderful about striking a balance between asking if her pressure was firm enough and not being too chatty.

By the time the 50 minutes was finished, my muscles felt like butter. I gladly accepted the glass of champagne that my therapist offered as I snuggled up in the relaxation room with a magazine. The afternoon had been one of those wonderful little surprises. Life was FWABulous.
