Burn It Off With Barry’s Bootcamp


Cookies, cocktails, and calories, oh, my! Now that the excess of the holidays is behind us, it’s time to get back into the workout groove. So, I figured there was no better time to share my experience with one of Atlanta’s latest fitness studio additions — Barry’s Bootcamp. 

Here are my top three reasons to give Barry’s a try:  

  1. The tunes. Give me a driving beat and a lot of bass to push me through my workout, and I’m a happy girl. My instructor, Jamaal, had an awesome playlist loaded with hip hop favorites. Exactly what I needed to stay motivated through the class.

  2. Efficiency. I took a 50-minute, full body class. About half the time is spent on the treadmill and the other half is on the floor doing weights. Plus, you can modify the intensity for your fitness level (e.g., you can walk vs. run on the treadmill) or just stay on the floor if you don’t need the cardio on a given day.

  3. Post-workout smoothies. Choose from a variety of yummy options served up at Barry’s Fuel Bar. And BTW, if you order before class, your smoothie will be ready and waiting on you when you walk out the studio door.
