Fit & Well Atlanta Belle Finds
Fresh-pressed juices. Leggings. Spa and beauty treatments. My head spins when I consider all of the choices I have when it comes to finding upscale products, services, and experiences that are worth the cash! The least I can do is make the process easier on you. So, here are my Fit & Well Atlanta Belle — that is, FWAB — Finds. Here are my fave “fits” in Atlanta and beyond — updated regularly with my latest likes.
P.S. There are products, services, and experiences mentioned on this page that were provided to me free of charge. (It’s a blessing of this job.) But, trust me, y’all. I’m not going to include them here unless I’ve tried them — and think you should spend your own money on them. Enjoy!
Why It’s a Fit: A sparkly, glossy water bottle that actually keeps my water cold for 25 hours — I give you Corkcicle’s 25-ounce Unicorn Magic Canteen. Santa (that is, boyfriend, Jamie) brought me my fashionable and functional water bottle for Christmas last year. It immediately became my go-to. No bottle sweat, and it fits in my car cup holder. It’s like the unicorn of water bottles!
Why It’s a Fit: This south Florida hotel has been my jam for several years now. It offers up the AWAY Spa, fabulous restaurants, and free fitness classes (think yoga and beach bootcamp) for guests. Go!
Why It’s a Fit: I’ve never experienced sleep-focused amenities at a hotel like those offered through The Benjamin’s Rest & Renew program. From a curated pillow menu to a menu of bedtime bites to tide your body over until morning, the options are impressive!
Why It’s a Fit: As the bumping beat of a dance mix of Ariana Grande's 7 Rings started to pulse through the speakers in the candle-lit Buckhead SoulCycle studio, and my pedaling started to catch that right-left, right-left rhythm, I knew I was in my happy place. (BTW, in that photo, that’s my dear friend, Elise, aka Belle Meets World, post-cycle sweat.)
Why It’s a Fit: Sexy and sassy. That sums up how my latest Noli Yoga legging of choice — the Noto Legging in Black Gloss — makes me feel. These black beauties are lightweight, fit like a second skin, and are fashionable whether you’re at the barre or the bar. And FYI, if you sign up for Noli’s mailing list, you can get 15% off your first online purchase!
Why It’s a Fit: “Messy Bun & Getting Stuff Done,” reads one of my favorite Emi Jay tanks. I probably have about six of the various super soft cotton muscle tanks that always feature clever sayings. Although the price tag makes these tanks a bit more of an investment, they hold up beautifully, as I’ve had most of mine for at least a few years. But, here’s a bit of advice — check the sale section regularly, as you can often find some really good deals!
Why It’s a Fit: Every time I wear these leggings, I get compliments. Plus, they stay up even when I’m bouncing around in my HIIT 30 and Cardio Blast classes. Oh, and did I mention that they offer these beauties in a variety of colors? I. Need. More.
Why It’s a Fit: Water-repellent fabric and pockets designed to keep your wet gear separate are a few of the reasons this black tote bag beauty is my new go-to workout bag. Sure, it was specifically designed for pool/beach use. But, thanks to the sleek look, numerous pockets, and spaciousness, it’s perfect for carrying around everything from my cycling shoes to my Exhale teaching gear. I “tote”ally love it!
Bites & Sips
Why It’s a Fit: Sweet potato noodles, bok choy, zucchini, jalapeños, shiitake mushrooms, onion, sunflower butter, and coconut milk. The ingredients in Flower Child’s Glow Bowl say it all. (FYI, Flower Child has locations across the country!) This dish is the perfect blend of healthy foods that taste great — and leave you feeling full. As is, the bowl is vegan and gluten free. But, I like to add shredded chicken to get a little more protein in the mix. It’s become my glow-to bowl for the summer!
Why It’s a Fit: Let’s face it. This salad is a work of art. Atlantans know that this Ford Fry restaurant is a go-to for dinner. But, be sure to check out the lunch menu, which includes delights like this wood grilled chopped chicken salad. How can something that tastes so good also be good for you?
Why It’s a Fit: Ugh, chafing. I don’t know about you, but when the weather gets warmer (and I get sweatier), it’s a fact of life at the end of every run. I’ve tried various powders and potions, but nothing has worked — until Body Glide. Recently, I came across a stick and figured I’d see if the good things I’d heard were true. Thank goodness I did! You apply it to the chafeable area pre-run. (It’s not greasy or uncomfortable.) And lovelies, it works like a charm! I’ve now used it several times on hot days, and there has been no chafing. Amen for Body Glide!!
Why It’s a Fit: For cuts and blowouts, this Buckhead salon is my go-to for the last few years. Owner and master stylist, Max, is my guy for all things hair. But, if you need a killer blowout, Wanda has also done a killer job for me. It’s a chic and stylish salon — without any snootiness or pretention.
Why It’s a Fit: This spray-on sunscreen has become my go-to for summer sun care. It goes on like a breeze, isn’t greasy, and doesn’t have an annoying smell. The Supergoop! folks are all about creating products that are good for your skin. According to their website, “We care about every single ingredient that goes into our products, creating formulas that are as clean as possible without sacrificing sun protection. We pack a healthy dose of antioxidants into all of our formulas, and offer chemical and mineral choices for every skin type. By always updating our ‘no’ list (the ingredients we’ll never use — like oxybenzone), we make it easy to say ‘yes!’ to safe sun care.” If you’re in Atlanta, grab this good goop at Elite Beauty Bar. And if you’re beyond ATL, just head to the Supergoop! site.
Why It’s a Fit: When I splurge on lash extensions, Lane, owner of this spot, is the only one I will let touch mine. Plus, I’ve been seeing this lady for all of my waxing needs for 5+ years.
Why It’s a Fit: This lotion is velvety, coconut and lime-scented goodness that should be slathered on your skin daily. Recently, a PR friend turned me on to the Australian brand, and I couldn’t be more thankful! (So, yes, I did receive a complimentary sample.) All of Ecococo’s products are vegan, organic, and cruelty-free, and range from tanning and skin care options to hair care. As for the body butter, it’s especially perfect after you’ve been in the sun all day, and the scent makes me feel like I’ve just spent a day at the beach — even when I’ve been at my desk in Atlanta all day!
